Design Response

Renovations to the existing school consisted of an expansion of the Culinary Arts classroom to provide a full commercial kitchen, which includes new equipment, specialized fire protection, and a dedicated outdoor-air system. The new building addition is designed to house the school's fledgling Construction Trades program and includes a large shop space with an overhead door large enough to accommodate shipping containers or "Tiny Homes" for students to practice trades skills, along with classrooms and instructional support spaces. Miscellaneous improvements for site drainage and a student-operated coffee bar for the Business and Marketing program complete the project.
