Design Response

The design provides a “public services campus” located in an industrial area, with quick access to major roads serving the population. The campus plan offers many advantages including shared use of City amenities, on-site fleet maintenance, storage facilities, employee break areas, and room for future growth. To maintain a high level of safety, onsite roads and parking lots were designed for easy navigation by heavy equipment and visitors alike. All 13 buildings are made of the same off-the-shelf, low-maintenance, durable components. Building orientation, stormwater retention, daylighting, and other sustainable design ideas were embraced throughout the project.
